Act on a signal

What you can do from a signal row, and when a signal clears.

Each signal is a prompt to decide. From the Signals page, every row gives you a way to act.

From a signal row

  • Create follow-up — creates a follow-up linked to the customer, with a clear title such as "Reorder check" or "Check in". If an open follow-up already exists, RABT shows it with its due date instead of creating a second one.
  • Open customer, Open quotation or Open deal — go to the record for the full picture.
  • Why RABT shows this — the evidence behind the row.

A good habit

  1. Read the evidence.
  2. Decide: act now, act later, or no action needed.
  3. If you act later, create a follow-up so it appears on your Home page when due.

When a signal clears

A signal clears when the records behind it change — not when you look at it, and not when you create a follow-up:

  • Ready to reorder and Going quiet clear when a new order is recorded.
  • Awaiting reply clears when the quotation's status is changed from Sent.
  • Stalled deals clear when the deal is moved, edited, closed or has new activity.

Creating a follow-up does not hide a signal, so nothing disappears before the customer has actually been dealt with.
