Create your first quotation

How to build a quotation, line by line, with suggested prices.

Go to Quotations and choose New quotation, or start from a customer's page or from Home.

1. The header

  • Customer — choose who the quotation is for. Suggested prices depend on this customer's history, so choose the customer first.
  • Document language — Arabic or English for the printed quotation.
  • Issue date and valid until.
  • Payment terms and delivery terms.

2. The lines

Choose Add from catalogue for each product, then set the quantity and unit price. Add item adds a line that is not in your product list. You can also apply a line discount or a header discount for the whole quotation.

When RABT has evidence for a line, it shows a Suggested price next to it. Choose Why? to see what it is based on, and Apply to use it. The price is always yours to decide. See How the suggested price works.

3. Margin

If your products have a cost recorded, RABT checks each line against your company's minimum margin and tells you if a line is below it. It never blocks you. See Margin protection and pricing approval.

4. Internal notes

Internal notes are for your team and are never printed on the quotation.

5. Save

Save the quotation. It starts as a Draft. When it is ready, send it to the customer.
