Why orders matter
How orders feed Commercial Memory, Signals and suggested prices.
Orders are your sales history. Almost everything RABT tells you comes from them:
- Commercial Memory — what each customer buys, how often and at what price. See What is Commercial Memory?
- Ready to reorder and Going quiet — worked out from the gaps between a customer's orders.
- Suggested prices — based on what the customer paid on previous orders.
Without orders, these stay empty.
Three ways to record orders
- Import your past orders when you start. See Import your sales history.
- Convert an accepted quotation into an order, from the quotation page.
- Create an order directly from Orders.
Order statuses
- Pending, Confirmed and Delivered orders count towards Commercial Memory.
- Cancelled orders are left out.
Delivered orders are locked. They are part of your sales history and can no longer be edited. Imported historical orders are recorded as delivered.
Keep it current
Commercial Memory is only as complete as your orders. If orders are also entered in another system, record them in RABT too — by hand, by import, or through the API — so signals and suggested prices reflect what the customer really bought.
