Import your sales history
How to import your past orders so Commercial Memory and Signals work from day one.
Your sales history — the orders your customers placed before you started using RABT — is what Commercial Memory and customer Signals are built from. Import it once when you start.
Go to Settings → Import & export and choose Sales history (orders), or use the Bring in your data step during setup. Import your customers and products first.
The file: one row per order line
An order with three products is three rows with the same order reference.
- Order reference — required. Your order or invoice number.
- Order date — required, as YYYY-MM-DD.
- Customer — required. The customer's exact name in RABT. Rows with an unknown customer name are rejected; RABT does not create customers from your sales history.
- Product SKU — required. Must match a product's SKU in RABT.
- Quantity — required, above zero.
- Unit price — required.
- Currency — required, for example AED or USD.
- VAT total — optional, for the whole order.
All rows of one order must have the same date, customer, currency and VAT total.
Limits
- Up to 500 orders per file, and 200 lines per order. Split larger histories into several files.
- Files up to 5 MB.
Importing again is safe
Orders whose reference was already imported are skipped, so you can re-run a file after fixing errors without creating duplicates.
After the import
Imported orders are recorded as Delivered. Open a customer's Buying history to see their products, prices and intervals. Patterns need repetition: signals appear for products bought at least three times.
If some orders were not imported, see Fix import errors.
