When there is no suggested price
Why a quotation line has no suggestion, or only limited evidence — and what to do.
A suggested price only appears when RABT has evidence. Here are the common reasons it is missing or marked Limited evidence.
No suggestion at all
- The line is not a product. Suggestions need a product from your product list.
- No history, no list price and no cost. The customer has never bought the product, the product has no list price, and no cost is recorded. Add a list price or a cost to the product.
- Different currency. The customer's history, or the product's list price and cost, are in another currency. RABT does not convert currencies, so that evidence is not used.
- No customer chosen yet. Choose the customer first.
Limited evidence
- Bought once. One purchase is shown as "Based on one purchase only". Use it with care.
- Limited history. A small number of purchases gives a less reliable picture.
A note instead of a price change
- Unusual quantity. If the quantity is well above or well below what the customer usually orders, RABT notes that volume may justify a different price, or that their usual price may not apply.
- Cost not recorded. The suggestion can still appear, but the margin cannot be checked.
Making suggestions more useful
- Import your sales history so customers have purchases to learn from.
- Record new orders, or convert accepted quotations into orders.
- Add list prices and costs to your products.
