Where the numbers come from
The sources behind Commercial Memory, and the limits of what RABT knows.
Every figure in Commercial Memory comes from records in your own RABT workspace.
The sources
- Orders — the dates, products, quantities and unit prices on your order lines. Cancelled orders are left out.
- Quotations — whether they were won, lost or are still open, and the prices you offered.
Prices a customer paid come only from orders. Prices from rejected or expired quotations are kept separate as "Quoted and not won", because they are not prices the customer paid.
What RABT does not know
- Market prices and competitors' prices. RABT has no outside price data.
- Other currencies. Nothing is converted. If a customer's history spans more than one currency, the quantities are shown but the prices are not compared.
- Other customers' prices. One customer's prices are never used to explain another customer's.
- What happens outside RABT. An order recorded only in another system is invisible until it is imported or entered.
Keeping it accurate
- Import your past orders when you start.
- Record new orders as they happen — or convert accepted quotations into orders — so the memory stays current. See Why orders matter.
- Keep customer names and product SKUs consistent.
Commercial Memory is a clear record of what already happened. Use it as evidence for your decisions, not as a statement about the future.
